Back pain is one of the most common health concerns today, affecting people of all ages. Whether it’s due to long working hours, poor posture, or underlying health conditions, persistent back pain can significantly impact daily life. According to Ayurveda, back pain is often caused by an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement and flexibility in the body. Maintaining proper posture while sitting and sleeping is equally important to prevent further strain on the back.
Gentle yoga postures like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Marjariasana (Cat-Cow Pose), and Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) strengthen the back and enhance flexibility. Practicing breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) can also help in reducing stress, which indirectly alleviates back pain. Regular yoga practice, combined with Ayurveda, creates a holistic approach to healing.
Ayurveda provides a long-term solution for back pain by addressing its root cause rather than just suppressing symptoms. A combination of Ayurvedic therapies, herbal remedies, a balanced diet, and mindful practices like yoga can help restore balance and bring lasting relief.
